2005 Workforce Development Strategy

‘The demands on local government are constantly shifting…’ so starts the Executive Summary of the Organisational Development Resource Document for local Government, published by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

 

In order to assist Local Authorities in meeting these constantly shifting demands, Progress International have created a transformational Organisational Development Programme which is closely aligned to the 2005 Local Government Pay and Workforce Strategy. The innovative course addresses every aspect of Organisational, Leadership and People Development as outlined in the Government document.

 

The Programme is designed to run for 3 days; Day One focuses the delegate on ‘Shifting the Paradigm’ and looking for ‘non- traditional’ solutions through Creative Thinking. Day Two utilises some of the most revolutionary Experiential Learning Techniques to develop Leadership and Followership Skills with Day 3 exploring some innovative Change Management and Coaching for Success methods.

Transforming your Authority, creating real and lasting Change through inspirational and revolutionary Creative Thinking and Change Management Techniques, producing Organisational Development and Transformation.


2. DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP CAPACITY

Personal Leadership, Followership and Team Building Skills will be demonstrated utilising ‘state of the art’ experiential learning techniques in Applied Leadership Development activities to guarantee FUN and some SERIOUS Learning!

Team Dynamics, Diversity and Continuous Improvement Principles will explore, and develop the role of Leadership, Management, Shared Vision, Process Improvement, Team Excellence, Coaching, Mentoring and Outstanding Motivation, utilising Appreciative Enquiry techniques.

3. DEVELOPING WORKFORCE SKILLS, CAPACITY AND STAFF RETENTION

Workforce Skill Development in Change Management, Business Process Analysis, Re-Design, Solutions Focussed Thinking and Six Sigma methodology will unleash the potential within your Authority to ‘Shift the Paradigm’ away from the ‘Traditional’.
