Summary:

This course will give the worker an overview of basic first aid for specific types of injuries based upon recommended training from OSHA.

  • Describe the importance of being alert, calm, and reassuring in emergency situations.
  • Recognize symptoms of certain injuries and medical problems.
  • Describe the ways to provide emergency care for certain kinds of injuries and medical problems.
  • Know when an emergency situation requires prompt medical attention.
